Chris Pearson, Vice President of Crop Nutrition and Cooperative Alliances for WinField United, joins the episode to discuss Land O’Lakes’ cooperative structure and the role it plays in supporting farmers, agriculture and local communities. Chris shares that Land O’Lakes is a farmer- and ag retailer- owned cooperative with over 100 years supporting the people, businesses, and communities responsible for feeding the world. 

“Our cooperative business model gives farmers the opportunity to be an active participant, an active voice, and actually govern the business that does business for them and with them. No other business model does that. That is really, really unique,” said Chris. 

“Some people might say, it’s not personal, it’s just business. Well here, It’s not just business, it’s absolutely personal. And it needs to be that way. That’s the value proposition that we have,” Chris continues.
