As a farmer- and retail-owned co-op that’s over 3,100 members strong, we know farmers and ag retailers are the heart of creating a better world for all of us. This October, we’re celebrating National Farmer’s Day and National Cooperative Month.
Last year, we asked you to tell the story of why farmers and the co-op system are great. This year, we are taking YOUR story and sharing it with the masses through our “Farmers Are Incredible” campaign. Here are just a few of the ways we are recognizing the incredible work farmers do every day.

• We’ve created social media, TV and web ads that include new videos using the facts that speak for themselves and show why farmers are our heroes. You can watch the videos here.

• We’re showing up at a Big Ten football game (Nebraska at Purdue on Oct. 15) and we’re going to share with America the story of why and how farmers are so incredible. The best part? National Farmers Day is on Oct. 12, and we’ll use the whole week to really ramp up our campaign.

• We’re spotlighting Big Ten players (including NFLers) who hail from farming families and communities for an “All-Ag” team with special, nostalgic player cards telling their stories on our Instagram page.  

Farmers don’t always get credit for the heroic effort they put forth for our communities and country. That’s why Land O’Lakes is helping change the conversation about farming through this campaign.
