Earlier this month, we came together with member-owners for a week in San Antonio for our Annual Meeting. As a co-op, it’s important that we connect with our member-owners and set aside time to celebrate as a community and work together on charting a course for future success.
This year, the meeting featured the General Session with presentations from Board Chairman Rick Brand, President and CEO Beth Ford and other Land O’Lakes executive leaders, as well as other breakout sessions and guest speakers.
The meeting provided a great opportunity for members to celebrate the hard work they put into 2022, as well as take care of important business such as electing five directors to the Corporate Board  and approving an amendment to cooperative bylaws.
Of the 172 responses gathered in an Annual Meeting survey, more than 91 percent of respondents said the meeting was either valuable or extremely valuable.
“Thank you so much for allowing us to attend this event, educating us about what Land O’Lakes is doing, and giving us information on how to better engage with those disconnected from agriculture,” one commenter said.
Another respondent said the meeting was a good blend of “nuts and bolts information and training” as well as advocacy for farmers.
Two  farmers from Ontario, Oregon, sent a letter to CEO Beth Ford conveying how impressed they were with the meeting and with Land O’Lakes team in general.
“It was inspiring to see such a healthy company and to hear stories from various backgrounds all coming together to join a common cause in the advocacy for agriculture,” they said. “Words cannot express how impressed upon we were by the dynamics of this meeting.”
We also received great suggestions on topics members would like to hear more about next year, such as a breakout session focused on agronomy. We love your suggestions – keep them coming!
If you were unable to attend this year’s meeting, recordings of some sessions are available.
