In recognition of his career achievements, community leadership and service to youth, Land O’Lakes President and CEO Chris Policinski was recently recognized as a Spurgeon Award recipient by the Northern Star Council Boy Scouts of America (BSA).
Land O’Lakes President and CEO Chris Policinski accepts the Spurgeon Award at the Northern Star BSA’s annual Community Builder Celebration held in St. Paul, Minn.
The award was presented to Policinski at the Northern Star BSA’s annual Community Builder Celebration and Spurgeon Award program, which publicly honors men and women whose career excellence and community service make them role models for young people.
At the ceremony, Policinski was recognized for applying his results-focused approach to the company’s many community service initiatives. Among the programs cited were:
While presenting the award, Greater Twin Cities United Way CEO Sarah Caruso noted Policinski’s role as Chairman of the United Way’s record-setting 2008 Twin Cities fund-raising efforts and his current role as Chairman of the Twin Cities United Way Board.
Fellow Spurgeon Award recipients included Eric Magnuson, shareholder and attorney for Briggs and Morgan; Scott Whiteford, Plymouth, Minn., police officer; Laurel Coerger, Community Affairs Manager, Xcel Energy; and Douglas King, Bank of America Regional President (retired).
