Monsanto has been found guilty of poisoning a French farmer after he inhaled Lasso herbicide in 2004. The company said that it will appeal the verdict handed down by a court in Lyon. The farmer, Paul Francois, said that Monsanto had not labeled its Lasso product as containing chlorobenzene. Monsanto's appeal could take up to 12 months to be heard.
