DuPont says the company will spend $10 billion on food production and nutrition improvement research over the next nine years. The company will add more than 400 people to its Pioneer Hi-Bred unit and expand facilities in specific target markets. DuPont aims to release 4,000 new products by 2021. The products will be aimed at food security concerns, specifically addressing sustainability and safety, nutrition enhancement, increasing food availability and shelf life and waste reduction.
