When does Land O'Lakes, Inc. post internships?
Most summer internships are posted by the end of September, with most positions filled by the first part of January. However, continue to check our Careers page at www.landolakes.jobs, as new internships come available throughout the school year.

Who is eligible for an internship? 
If you are a college student, you are most likely eligible to apply for an internship. However, some internships have specific requirements. These requirements might include a specific grade point average (GPA), specific major, or a specific skill set.

How long is the internship?
Internships typically run 12 weeks -- from the end of May through the middle of August. We periodically have internships during the school year. Continue to check our careers page, www.landolakes.jobs, for all current openings.

Where are the internships located?
Our internship opportunities are nationwide with positions ranging from corporate to field based.

What is the hiring process like?
• Apply online at www.landolakes.jobs. 
• Upon submitting your resume, you will receive an automated e-mail indicating your information has been submitted.
• Your resume will automatically be directed to the recruiter for review.
• The recruiter and/or hiring manager will review your qualifications.
• This process can take up to three weeks depending on the position and the ability for the hiring manager to review. The timetable for hearing back from us can vary due to the large volume of resumes we receive.
• If we wish to move forward, a phone interview between you and the recruiter will take place.
• If it seems the position is a fit for you, we will schedule interviews involving you, the hiring manager and other functional team members.
• After interviews are completed, the recruiter will notify you of our hiring decision.

How should I prepare for an interview at Land O'Lakes?
Prior to your interview, research our company and check out our brands, businesses, and be able to talk about our industry. For your on-site interviews, professional attire is appropriate. The interviews will be filled with behavioral based interview questions, be prepared to communicate and show your strengths and experiences. Prepare questions that are relevant to both the position and company.

What can I expect during my internship at Land O'Lakes?
During your internship, you will experience first hand at how a large business operates. Each intern is given a project that has a real-life tie to the business. We also provide an interactive summer calendar including a two-day training program, interaction with senior leaders, social networking activities, and opportunities to interact with interns across the metro area through the Metro Intern eXchange (www.mixtc.org).
